The efficiency of toltrazuril, thymol, and toltrazuril + thymol combination on eimeriosis in lamb

This study aimed to evaluate and compare the efficacy of treatment with a single dose toltrazuril 5% (Baycox), thymol (Versatile, Nine Life, United Arab Emirates), + combination control Eimeria spp. infection in lambs intensive feeding. The was designed five groups these aligned as; group 1 (negative group; NEG), 2 (positive POZ), 3 (thymol; THY), 4 (toltrazuril; TOL) 5 [(thymol toltrazuril; (THY TOL)]. Each consisted 26 Merino which are 60-75 days old each. Treatment were administered orally as [(40 mg/kg/ bw THY (crystal formulation, 100% purity (with feed), 20 mg/kg/bw TOL, TOL feed) TOL)] compared each other terms efficacy, fecal scoring, body weight gain. In addition, species identification also performed. ahsata most abundant infected lambs. found be 75.15% THY, 99.50% 95.42% groups. conclusion, highly effective both clinical subclinical eimeriosis although usage is not coccidiosis, it can used prophylactically infections. To find out anticoccidial effects needs more studies administer different repeated doses.
